TETWP Medical Relief Fund
Columbia County Resources’ Inc. (CCR) Tough Enough to Wear Pink Medical Relief Fund was created in response to the need to provide assistance to residents of Columbia, Suwannee and Hamilton County. Initially, Tough Enough to Wear Pink (TETWP) originated as a form of bringing awareness to Breast Cancer, which remains a top priority. We, however, have expanded our outreach to include assistance to those in need, without other recourse, due to a medical condition.
The purpose of the fund is to assist in filling some financial voids as related to medical crisis, once all additional resources have been exhausted. Although TETWP Crisis Fund cannot distribute monies directly to an individual recipient, we do assist by way of third party.
Jimmy Sparks Gives Fair/Rodeo Scholarship Award
 | Jimmy Sparks of Columbia County Resources awarded A'lyce Vaughn with the Fair/Rodeo Scholarship in the amount of $1000 to be used at Lake City Community College at the Fort White Senior Awards Night. Pictured is Jimmy Sparks with A'lyce Vaughn. Blaire Mayo of CHS was the other scholarship winner of $1000 also to be used at Lake City Community College. Congratulations to both girls. |
Red and Pink Hat Competition
 | NO ENTRY FEE REQUIRED. This is a new contest for our Columbia County Fair and we want to invite everyone to show off your red or pink hat. Make your hats, as flamboyant, crazy or fanciful as possible. The bigger the better!! This is one competition where you can really show your talent because appearances do count!! This is so easy ladies. Just design and make your entry or entries at home and bring one of your hat or hats, to the fair office – Tuesday-Thursday, October 20-23 from 9-5 or to the yellow banquet hall on Saturday, October 24 from 9am-12 noon. Someone will be on hand to assist you. Entries will be judged on Saturday, October 24 and will stay on exhibit until the fair ends on Saturday, Nov. 7. If you have a hat stand to exhibit your hat on, please bring it with you, otherwise your hats will be displayed on tables. |
